General Sales Conditions (GSC)
Below are the general terms and conditions of sale of the maritime and coastal passenger transport company Les Croisières Bigoudènes, registered with the Registrar of the Commercial Court of Quimper under the number RCS on 28-01-2004, having its registered office at 16 rue Sébastien Guiziou, 29750 Loctudy, represented by Mr Erwann Gouzien in his capacity as manager.
Article 1 : Purpose
The present General Conditions of Sale (GCS) govern the contractual relations between LES CROISIÈRES BIGOUDÈNES and any individual or legal entity proceeding with a reservation or purchase of a service offered by the company (hereafter ‘the Client’).
They are established in accordance with the provisions of articles L. 111-1 et seq. of the Consumer Code, and articles L. 221-1 et seq. concerning contracts concluded at a distance.
Article 2 : Booking
2.1 Reservation procedures
In accordance with article L. 221-14 of the French Consumer Code, the Customer may make a reservation via :
- Internet: on our secure website www.croisieres-bigoudenes.fr;
- Telephone: 02 98 54 33 01 or 06 83 22 97 87, available from 9.30am to 6pm Monday to Saturday between September and June, then from 9am to 7pm Monday to Sunday between July and August;
- Physical counters: located in Guilvinec, 29730 ;
- Approved partners: agencies or authorised third parties Pays Bigouden sud and nord tourist office, Concarneau to Pont-Aven tourist office, Quimper and Locronan tourist offices, the Haliotika fishing town.
To confirm a booking, the Customer must provide accurate information (surname, first name, contact details), select the services required and pay the corresponding fees.
2.2 Booking confirmation
In accordance with article L. 221-5 of the French Consumer Code, all bookings are subject to written confirmation, sent by email or delivered by hand, containing :
- Details of the service (date, time, location) ;
- The price including VAT and any additional charges;
- The applicable cancellation or modification terms and conditions.
The Customer must check the information provided and report any errors within 24 hours of receiving the confirmation.
2.3 Availability of services
Services are offered subject to availability. In the event of exceptional unavailability, LES CROISIÈRES BIGOUDÈNES will propose :
An equivalent service ;
Or a reimbursement within 14 days (article L. 216-1 of the Consumer Code).
Article 3: Fares and Payment
3.1 Rates
In accordance with Article L. 112-1 of the Consumer Code, the prices are displayed in euros, all taxes included (TTC). They include:
- Compulsory taxes (VAT, delivery charges, etc.) ;
- Any applicable additional charges, as mentioned at the time of booking.
Prices may be changed without notice in the event of changes in taxation or economic conditions (articles L. 410-2 and L. 442-1 of the French Commercial Code).
3.2 Payment
In accordance with article L. 131-1 of the French Monetary and Financial Code, payment for services may be made by :
- Bank card (Visa, Mastercard, etc.) ;
- Cash (up to the legal limit of €1,000 for French tax residents);
Holiday vouchers or bank transfers (where applicable).
Online payments are secure in accordance with articles L. 133-16 et seq. of the French Monetary and Financial Code.
3.3 Deposits
- Deposit: If a booking requires a deposit, this is defined at the time the order is placed and may not exceed 30% of the total amount (article L. 214-1 of the French Consumer Code).
- Deposit: In the event of cancellation by the Customer, the deposit will not be reimbursed, except in the event of force majeure (article 1218 of the French Civil Code).
3.4 Policy on gift vouchers
Gift vouchers issued by LES CROISIÈRES BIGOUDÈNES are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. After this period, they will be considered expired and can no longer be used.
Gift vouchers are neither refundable nor exchangeable for cash.
Gift vouchers can only be used once and cannot be combined with other current promotions.
If a gift voucher is lost or stolen, it will not be replaced or reimbursed.
Article 4: Cancellation and Modification
4.1 Cancellation or modification by the Customer
In accordance with article L. 221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right to cancel does not apply to leisure services that must be provided by a specific date.
Cancellation conditions :
- Up to 48 hours before the event: refund or modification possible free of charge, in accordance with the specific conditions indicated at the time of booking.
- After this time: no refund except in cases of force majeure (article 1218 of the French Civil Code).
No-shows :
In the event of a no-show at embarkation or at the start of the service, no refund will be given.
4.2 Cancellation or modification by the company
LES CROISIÈRES BIGOUDÈNES reserves the right to cancel or modify a service in the following cases:
- Unfavourable weather conditions: to guarantee the safety of passengers (article L. 221-28 of the French Consumer Code).
- Force majeure: strike, natural disaster, pandemic, etc. (article 1218 of the French Civil Code).
In the event of cancellation, the Customer may :
- Postpone the service to another date;
- Obtain a full refund within 14 days (article L. 216-1 of the French Consumer Code).
4.3 Cancellation conditions specific to groups
The specific conditions for modification or cancellation are possible up to 72 hours in advance for groups, or a non-refundable deposit in the event of cancellation. As well as possible adjustments to the number of participants (reduction or increase).
Article 5: Use of Services
5.1 Boarding conditions
- Customers must present themselves for boarding at least 20 minutes before the scheduled time. They must have a valid ticket. Any delay may result in boarding being refused without refund.
- Access to the boat is subject to compliance with safety instructions and the instructions of the crew.
5.2 Minors
- Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the duration of the service.
- In the event of the presentation of an unaccompanied minor child, LES CROISIÈRES BIGOUDÈNES reserves the right to refuse access to the boat without the possibility of reimbursement.
- Accompanying adults are responsible for the supervision of children, who must under no circumstances run or move around on board alone.
5.3 Animals
- Dogs are allowed on board under certain conditions:
- Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
- Category 1 and 2 dogs (according to the law of 6 January 1999) must be notified to the company at the time of booking and worn under muzzle.
Owners’ responsibility :
- Owners are responsible for their animal for the duration of the service.
- In the event of aggression, material damage or bodily injury caused by an animal, responsibility lies exclusively with the owner.
Refusal of access :
- The company reserves the right to refuse boarding to any animal that presents a danger or inconvenience to other passengers, without any possibility of reimbursement for the owner.
5.4 Safety and behaviour
In accordance with Article L. 412-1 of the French Transport Code, passengers must comply with the safety instructions and directions given by the crew. Any disruptive behaviour will result in immediate exclusion without refund.
5.5 Luggage and personal effects
Each passenger may carry 1 piece of baggage free of charge, not exceeding 20kg. Passengers carrying more than one item of baggage must inform the airline at the time of booking or before boarding. Any additional baggage will be invoiced in accordance with the fares in force. The company declines all liability in the event of loss, theft or damage to baggage (Article L. 5422-1 of the French Transport Code).
5.6 Baggage provisions
- Prohibited baggage: The following items are strictly prohibited on board: weapons, ammunition, explosive or flammable materials, dangerous chemicals, sharp or pointed objects, toxic or radioactive substances.
- Special baggage: Passengers wishing to carry bulky baggage or sports equipment (bicycles, windsurfers, etc.) must inform the airline in advance and may be subject to additional charges.
- Lost and found: Items lost on board are kept for 3 months from the date of discovery. Passengers can recover them by contacting our Customer Service department (croisieres.bigoudenes@gmail.com). After this period, unclaimed items will be considered as abandoned and may be destroyed or donated.
5.7 Clause on goods
- Carriage of goods: The carriage of goods is not permitted on board, except with the prior written agreement of the Company and subject to compliance with the special conditions defined by the Company.
- Liability of the Company: The Company declines all liability in the event of loss, theft, deterioration or damage to passengers’ baggage and personal effects, except in the event of proven fault on the part of the Company or its employees.
Article 6: Accessibility
6.1 Accessibility of facilities
The boat is equipped to accommodate People with Reduced Mobility (PRM) and has the facilities required for their comfort and safety.
6.2 Access limitations linked to port infrastructures
However, the embarkation quays are not adapted for PRMs, which makes access to the boat impossible for these people. This situation is beyond the control of LES CROISIÈRES BIGOUDÈNES.

Article 7: Liability
7.1 Responsibility of the company
The responsibility of LES CROISIÈRES BIGOUDÈNES is governed by articles L. 5421-1 and following of the Transport Code. We cannot be held responsible for :
- Delays or interruptions due to unforeseeable circumstances (force majeure) ;
- Damage resulting from negligence or fault on the part of the Customer.
7.2 Customer liability
The Customer is responsible for any damage caused to third parties or to the company’s property or equipment.
Article 8: Complaints and disputes
In accordance with article L. 612-1 of the French Consumer Code, in the event of a dispute, the Customer may have recourse free of charge to a consumer mediator before taking any legal action. Complaints must be sent:

The competent court is that of the location of the company’s registered office, unless there are mandatory provisions to the contrary (article R. 631-3 of the French Consumer Code).
Article 9: Personal data
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (RGPD) and the law n°78-17 of 6 January 1978, the Customer has the right to access, rectify and delete his/her data. For all requests: s.gouzien@croisieresbigoudenes.com
Article 10: Force Majeure
Force majeure, as defined by article 1218 of the French Civil Code, suspends the performance of contractual obligations. In the event of cancellation due to force majeure, no compensation will be payable.
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale, together with the booking form or request, express the entirety of the obligations of the parties. No specific or general conditions communicated by the customer may be incorporated into these GCS, unless accepted in writing by us.
