A brief history of KERSAUX…
Formerly named Florelle in homage to the singer and actress Odette Rousseau, the KERSAUX, an elegant wooden boat in the colors of the Pays Bigouden, has sailed the seas for over 30 years. Built in 1985 for a shipowner in the Bay of Toulon, it has sailed under different names, accumulating miles and memories. Its rich and varied history has taken it from the Mediterranean to the English Channel, and now to Brittany. Each port of call, each destination has left a mark on this boat, forging its unique character.
Today, renovated, it can accommodate up to 96 passengers and offers a friendly space with a warm interior lounge and two open decks to fully enjoy the panoramic view.
In 2024, a new chapter began: the boat was renamed KERSAUX. This choice was born from a desire to reconnect with our heritage and give the boat a more personal identity. Kersaux, meaning “village” in Breton, conjures up images of long summer days spent building sandcastles on this beach, picnics at sunset, and the joy of family gatherings.
Each sea outing aboard the boat is an invitation to relive those special moments and share them with you. Imagine sailing along the coast of Brittany, from the Eckmühl lighthouse to the Odet river, while discovering the natural and cultural riches of this region.
